Today we celebrated Mass in Blarney. It was the smallest church so far but nonetheless still impressive. It was nice to also be joined by some local parishioners. A quick chat and hello is also a good part of a great start to the day.
It was then a very quick walk to Blarney Castle where I kissed the Blarney Stone! We'll see if my ability to converse improves. Had a photo with a tourist couple from Texas. I was wearing a Wests jersey and they were impressed. Honestly though. Who wouldn't be?
We then did some shopping in the world's largest Irish shop at the Woollen Mills. Didn't buy a thing. However we then moved into Cork where I got my hands on that elusive Rugby Jersey.
After Cork we moved to the Castle at Cashel. Very impressive.
Only a quick note tonight. Met a new friend in Mr Murphy this evening. He's a nicer guy than Mr Guinness. Although we all get along well.
As an aside I was given the opportunity to say Grace tonight at dinner. For the benefit of my fellow pilgrims here is the poem.
It's been nearly a week and it is still all very surreal. Had a great catch up with home which was nice. And some emails from Yr 12 students were encouraging. The work is getting done!
A special hello to blog reader(s) in Spain and the U.S. If you are who I think you are I really hope that you a having an equally reflective and invigorative break. Your deserve it!
Sadly say goodbye to Blarney Golf Resort in the morning. Hopefully WIFI is as good at the next place so the reflections can continue.

Looks like you're having an amazing experience Michael.... am enjoying your commentary! Take care.
