Well that was a long trip!
Just under 9 hours to Bangkok. Very quick on and off in 35 degree weather. Followed by just under 6 hours to Dubai where it was a little warmer and before 6am local!
Finally another 7.5 hours to Dublin where despite all fears it was a comfortable and clear day.
A world of contrasts (pun intended) when you fly and look over the UAE then Iran and then Germany in quick succession!
After a quick rest stop at the Airport and a brief bus tour of Dublin we headed to Wicklow for Mass at St Patrick's.

Lots of weary but hopefully soon renewed travellers then settled in to the Grand Hotel. The Irish have just won their opening pool game of the World Cup so it's time for a shower and change of clothes and perhaps a pint!
